2. Level Up to DevSec Ops (WA)
The IT industry has experienced rapid change and the introduction of Cloud, Agile and DevOps have created shortages in skilled staff and have created immense pressure on enterprise IT teams. Organisations are concerned about the costs of data breaches, and need to ensure they do not become the next Yahoo, OPM or Target.
DevSecOps integrates development, security and operations teams together to encourage faster decision making and reduce issue resolution times.
This session will cover the current state of DevOps, and how DevSecOps can help integrate pathways between teams to reduce fear, uncertainty and doubt. We will look at how to move to security as code, and integrate security into our infrastructure and software deployment processes.

3. Perth Web Accessibility Camp
Have you got some experience or knowledge you'd love to share about web accessibility? Or are you just interested to learn more about web accessibility? If either of these apply to you, then the Perth Web Accessibility Camp is where you need to be.
Web developers, managers, educators, students, consultants and academics are all invited to share and discuss ideas on implementing the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines v2 (WCAG2) and how to make sure our online information is available to our whole community.
There will also be a special Keynote address from Andrew Arch from the Digital Transformation Agency.
In addition, there will also be speakers from some of Australia's best respected web accessibility consultancies, such as WebKeyIT, Media Access Australia, VisAbility and Simply Accessible.

4. ASELL Workshop at SciTech Perth
ASELL (Advancing Science & Engineering through Laboratory Learning) is hosting a full day workshop at SciTech West Perth designed to help advance education for students and learning practises for teachers. This is a fantastic opportunity for you and a student to participate and analyse experiments throughout the day.
The event also provides the following:
- An opportunity for teachers to submit their existing science investigation whether they are exemplary or require suggestions for improvement
- Teachers receive feedback from both students and other teachers about their investigations and experiments
- An opportunity to reflect on and modify their investigations
- An exciting chance for students to experience SciTech in more detail
Following this, clusters of schools can select focus areas (e.g. literacy, problem-based learning) in which they can participate in sustained engagement with ASELL, advancing their professional practices through cycles of reflection, implementation and evaluation.
Morning tea and lunch are provided. ASELL will pay for relief teachers if this is required. Please arrive at 8:15 for registrations - workshop will start at 8:45. The day will end at 3.00pm.
